Our Mission

We're driven to make beautiful décor affordable, without the guesswork. That means we don't list everything we can get our hands on. Every piece has to earn its place: does it genuinely change how a room feels, is the quality worth what we're asking, and can we stand behind it when something goes wrong? If the answer to any of those is no, it doesn't go on the site.

We'd rather sell fewer things we'd happily live with ourselves. We believe that's what earns a customer twice.

Our Vision

Our vision is to keep working with independent creators and artisans to bring our customers décor that tells a story — across home and interior, lighting, kitchen and storage, and outdoor and garden — with the simple goal of making every room a masterpiece. We serve Canada and the United States as our home markets and ship worldwide beyond them, in both English and French, with the same straightforward service wherever you are.

A Note from the Founder

Vello is a small, independently run shop — not a corporation with a call centre. When you email us, you're writing to the person actually responsible for your order, and that's deliberate. It means I can't hide behind a support script, and it means I care rather more than most about getting your order right.

I'd rather tell you a parcel takes two weeks and have it arrive early than promise three days and let you down.
