Hasna SunRay Wall Lamp

Hasna borrows the sunburst — rays radiating from a central point — and renders it in metal at a scale that decorates a wall without taking it over. Lit, the rays catch the output and throw fine linear shadows across the plaster, which is a far more interesting effect than a plain diffuser gives you. Unlit, it still holds a wall in daylight, so it works in a room where a bare fixture would look like an omission.

Metal was the right choice for a shape this fine: the spokes hold their line without flexing, the finish resists the marking that hallway fittings always take, and the backplate stays shallow against the wall. It mounts to a standard box and the fixings sit hidden behind the central boss, so nothing breaks the geometry once it is up.

Use it as a single statement above a console in an entryway, as a pair flanking a bed, or spaced along a hallway where each fitting also acts as artwork. It leans modern but the sunburst motif has enough history in it to sit beside older furniture comfortably. A warm bulb softens the metal; a neutral one sharpens the shadow pattern on the wall.
